凝胶纤维是以天丝为原料经改性处理后得到的具有高吸湿性的胶性纤维，可通过反应程度控制纤维成胶性。凝胶纤维安全可靠，已进行生物学评价，评价结果证明无细胞毒性、无皮内刺激反应、无致敏反应。凝胶纤维具有吸水成胶性，以此纤维为原料制成的面膜基材浸泡于精华液或水中可迅速形成凝胶，并将精华成分锁住于纤维内部和纤维之间，应用于面部护理时可以向皮肤持续缓慢释放功效成分，起到滋养和修复肌肤的功效，同时还具有抗菌消炎和补水保湿的效果。
